Secret Library ("the App") is an audiobook player that connects to your personal Audiobookshelf server. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the App accesses and how it's used.
Data Collection
We do not collect any personal data. The App operates entirely between your device and your personal Audiobookshelf server.
The App stores the following data locally on your device:
- Server connection details (URL, authentication tokens)
- Listening progress and bookmarks
- Downloaded audiobook files (when you choose to download)
- App preferences and settings
Server Communication
The App communicates only with the Audiobookshelf server URL that you provide. We have no access to:
- Your server address
- Your audiobook library
- Your listening history
- Any data on your server
Third-Party Services
The App does not include any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
Data Storage
All data is stored locally on your device using secure storage mechanisms provided by iOS and Android. Authentication tokens are stored in the device's secure keychain/keystore.
Data Deletion
You can delete all App data at any time by:
- Using the "Log Out" feature in the App (clears server credentials and cached data)
- Uninstalling the App (removes all local data)
Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 years of age.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
